"Balban's Tomb reached at a dilapidated state."

"Balban's Tomb reached at a dilapidated state." Balban's Tomb has been ignored continuously by Archeological department since many years.  The tomb is a symbol of historical importance in the development of Indo-Islamic architecture. Ghiyas-ud-din Balban was the Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate during the reign of the Mamluk Dynasty known to many as the 'Slave Dynasty' between 1266 AD and 1287 AD.

The only sign of the ASI is a plaque on which it is written: “For over a century, this area was covered with dense vegetation with only glimpse of archaeological structure. In 2001-02 a major conservation initiative in this area led to a careful consolidation and conservation exercise on numerous ruins. Balban's Tomb situated in the middle of the sprawling Mehrauli Archaeological Park nearby Qutub Minar.

According to sources, There are only three or four guards for the security of Mehrauli Archaeological park. Local residents said that due to continuous negligence of Archaeological Department, Ghiyas-ud-din Balban (1200-1287)'s Tomb has been reached in dilapidated state.

It's clearly reflects the biased attitude of ASI authorities while "they can arrange tight security arrangement for Qutub Minar than why not for Balban's Tomb."

As Prime Minister @narendramodi is promoting tourism in India than government must ensure adequate security for monuments. India has a great history of monuments. As European countries and Russia have managed to preserve such monuments because of multiple factors. If India wants to attract tourists than Government must ensure the security of monuments.
